In 2021 I have enrolled in a Bachelor of Creative Arts Honours through Flinders University. The majority of my study will be completed at Adelaide College of the Arts in Light Square, Adelaide.
What is the topic I wish to research? COLLINOGRAPH
What is that? It is a new type of printing plate that I hope to develop over the coming year, during my year of research. It is a combination of a Linocut and a Collagraph on the one plate. I am going to use the research topic of climate change and the effects it has had on our society, as the subject matter for my art work. Floods, droughts, fires, homelessness, food shortages and many more subjects to research.Line drawings I am particularly interested in line drawings and how they can be generated from photographic research. I wish to research the people that have made line drawings famous. A simple single line to portray and convey movement, attitude, feelings. Powerful strokes. Another reason to do this is that it will allow me more of the plate to build my collagraph images onto. To research materials and textures that will work with this technique.

I also plan to do a subject called Industry Placement with Foodbank SA. Researching food shortages in South Australia and Northern Territory. Providing people with ongoing food security. Especially after homelessness caused by fires and floods. In the Foodbank Hunger Report 2020 it states “While COVID-19 has made life even more difficult for already-vulnerable Australians, it has launched others into food insecurity for the first time. Almost a third of Australians experiencing food insecurity in 2020 (28%) had never experienced it before COVID-19”
COVID-19 has added further impact to the many already effected by Fires and Floods in SA
